Roadwork is continuing in North Star. Final grading will be finished by the end of July and then the Mag Chloride application to knock down the dust from traffic.  We are also starting to put down recycled asphalt in some of the problem areas on the road.  They are getting better all the time. The soft spots have now been repaired.  In the interest of preserving our roads, the board has passed a motion to fine any tracked construction vehicles operating on our roads instead of being towed to the site.  If anybody sees a violation of this nature, PLEASE take a picture and get it to a board member. The board will assess the $500.00 fine to the violator.

The recycled asphalt has held up remarkably well with all the heavy traffic it received this summer. We are currently getting bids to continue putting this product down next summer at some of the other problem areas in North Star.
